AiNIN – Forest Secrets 2026 – Falls Farm

The Arts in Nature International Network (AiNIN) is a global network of artists, curators, and organisations working at the intersection of art and the natural environment. Since 2019, Les Nuits des Forêts has invited artists to create in forests across France, expanding globally through AiNIN membership since 2023, with its 2026 edition running worldwide from 5–21 June. I have been accepted to produce a work for AiNIN 2026 Forest Secrets.

Corrie Wright – Australia

In March this year I was on a four-week residency at  a regenerative farm with orchards, agrifood systems and riparian forest. My research there has generated questions toward future investigation, considering regeneration through female perspectives and intergenerational knowledge as ecological and creative processes, alongside voice as exchange with land and drawing as cumulative practice.  This project proposes a return to develop a site-responsive, ephemeral installation within the forest area.

Around 25% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions are attributed to conventional agricultural practices. As a key element of regenerative agriculture, agroforestry contributes to healthier soils, greater biodiversity, enhanced carbon sequestration, and more resilient and diversified production systems. The United Nations has declared 2026 the year of Women farmers, it is especially noteworthy that agroforestry is an area largely driven and shaped by the leadership, knowledge, and participation of women.
